What age group is the Clef Hanger targeted too?

The book is aimed at middle-school to High School students with an interest in humorous, action, fantasy and science fiction stories. That being said, many adults have laughed out loud and loved the story.

Can English teachers benefit from using this book as a teaching story?

Absolutely! We have included simple grammar, but included college-level SAT vocabulary words so that (in context) a reader could possible understand the meaning of the word, but just in case, we have included a Definitions section at the back of the book which will allow a quick lookup of the word’s meaning. There also popular themes utilized like ‘The heroes journey’, ‘Man versus Man’, ‘Man versus Nature’, plus many English conventions such as alliteration, analogy, simile, anthropomorphism, and metaphors used throughout the story- all done on purpose.

Does the story have actual music references or are they made up?

All music references are one hundred percent real and were researched for accuracy. A reader can learn about these pieces mentioned and dive into them more with interest.

Is ‘The Clef Hanger’ a stand alone book or part of a series?

The book is part of a 3 book series. Book two will be out soon, titled, “The Shadow Symphony” with book three “Secret Band Director” following in 2027. You can enjoy the antics of Mikey Gross and his friends, along with the important dream realm missions that include the characters from the IDT (Interdimensional Dream Team) and new bad guys.
